I didn't have any hopes for this book, mostly because I simply hated the previous book and by the end of Friday Night Bites, I was hating on pretty every character, esp. the main ones. But this book was surprisingly pretty good. The problems I had with the prequel, like Merit being too weak when it comes to Ethan and blowing up at people when she herself was in the wrong, and Ethan being way too annoying with his "morals", pretty much disappeared in this book. There were some pretty good twists and turns and the dialogue was quite witty. I'm really looking forward to Hard Bitten, hope these positive feelings for CVL continue in the next book.
